Welcome to the Atlanta premier dart league!
The APDL was created to try to bring some of the best dart players in Atlanta together, while at the same time, trying to give intermediate player a feel for tournament style play. The mission of the APDL and its members is to create a highly competitive forum for singles dart play that mirrors the PDC premier league, and other top singles leagues around the United States. Not only can you win some serious green, but the winner is offered a CDC tour card! We also have the coveted Championship Belt!
John Steinhofer, Danny Delfino, Shawn Patrick and Roger Carter have taken advantage of the CDC card and there are more to be offered! For those of you unfamiliar, check the link out. The Championship Dart Circuit is the closest thing we have to PDC here in North America. Follow us and the other CDC leaders here.
We have expanded since we first started in January of 2015, and now looking to have over 100 players in over 14 Zones and have expanded to Alabama!!
Season 11 has been suspended due to Coronavirus
The Pro Blind Draw
Here are our Zones and Schedule links:
We play different days during the week, starting at 7-8.
It looks like we have to officially postpone darts for now. I know some of you have played online, some even in person over the last week or two. It doesn’t benefit anyone to keep playing for now. We are here to have fun, compete and challenge each other, watch the stats and standings compile week to week, and know matches are played, when and where so we can watch online as well. It feels we are not together as a unit, which is understandable. Therefore, we will “suspend” the season.
Roger strikes again!!! Three time running champion Roger Carter won on traditional fashion. Although it was a close match between longtime friend Trint Sumner. Roger won the match 11-9 and was pushed all the way. It was very exciting to watch and was well played.
The semi finals were no match for John Steinhofer and Shawn Patrick. Roger beat Shawn 10-2, with a low average of 71.5. That was one that Shawn could have taken, but he admittedly was off his game. John’s 69 average was no match for Trints 79 in 14 legs. Trint put him away with a nifty 13 darter for a 10-4 victory.
All in all it was a great weekend, with Our Lower Bracket Finals won by Trent Garrett over Robert Carter 4-3. We also had our first ever NPQ bracket. So, we had 3 playoffs simultaneously. Barry Bolton took care of Jacob Wildes 4-1 for a nice payday. Nice averages as well, both over 56 PPR.
Hope to see you all play in 2020, thanks for a great season!
